“We are anticipating future requirements and taking a proactive approach to innovation,” said Daniel Marticello, President and CEO of CymSTAR. “With CymLITE-FPV, we’re enabling FPV drone training to evolve within a mission-ready, scalable simulation framework. We’re bringing the same rigor to unmanned systems that we’ve applied to manned aviation and joint training.”
Key capabilities include:
• MCS-Based Realism with high-fidelity terrain, urban clutter and environmental effects
• Mission Planning Tools that embed drones into larger tactical or operational scenarios
• Networked Simulation using Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocol for integrated team training
• Full-System Integration with manned aircraft, ground vehicles and C2 assets in a shared virtual battlespace
• Scalability to support new drone models, control devices and evolving tactical profiles
• After-Action Review (AAR) for manned-unmanned mission debriefs and performance analysis
• VR/MR Interface Options to meet a range of training environments and use cases
CymLITE-FPV is designed to support tactical ISR, GPS-denied training, loitering munition operations and airspace deconfliction, among other mission sets. It also enables combined arms training by linking unmanned and manned systems in a shared virtual battlespace, with After-Action Review and support for custom terrain.
Initial development is being conducted in collaboration with U.S. Army and Marine Corps stakeholders, including the U.S. Military Academy’s Office of Research. CymSTAR is also exploring SBIR and WERX pathways to accelerate integration and fielding.
Available in desktop, deployable and VR/MR configurations, CymLITE-FPV ensures training flexibility for both garrison and forward environments. The module strengthens CymSTAR’s position in the growing unmanned systems training market, with planned expansion into additional drone models, control devices and mission profiles.
This new capability complements CymSTAR’s broader innovation portfolio, which includes image generation, LVC simulation and deployable training systems for Air, Land and Joint forces.
