A color-coded map revealing the average penis sizes around the world has sparked stiff competition for the top spot.

Countries are used to competing in global sporting events like the World Cup and the Olympics, but this new measure of international bragging rights is a different ball game.

Interestingly, nations that usually excel in traditional competitions don't fare as well in this particular contest...

The map shows men in dark green countries boasting impressive sizes of 16.10-17.93 cm, while those in red countries fall on the shorter end of the spectrum at 9.66-11.66 cm. Despite their prowess in many areas, China, India and most of Asia, according to the map, have the smallest measurements.

Meanwhile, the USA, despite its impressive tally of 1061 Olympic gold medals, doesn't fare much better, with an average size of 11.67-13.47 cm.

Russia and Australia also fall into this category. The UK, Canada and Turkey, among others, fall into the yellow zone on the map, with an average length of 13.48-14.87 cm, reports the Mirror US.

The top shade of green is divided into two, with blokes sporting the lighter hue boasting an impressive average size of 14.88-16.09cm. In a surprising twist, while much of Europe sits comfortably in the yellow zone, France has soared to claim the title as the leading nation in Europe, joining the ranks of Brazil and Mexico.

Africa sees some regions reaching the summit, with Sudan taking the crown. But it's the underdog tale that captures hearts, as South America steps up with Colombia, Bolivia, and Venezuela securing their spots at the top echelon.

However, those on the lower end of the spectrum shouldn't feel downhearted. Renowned Dr Jen Caudle reassures: "You're fine, and the societal pressure that we put on ourselves [thanks to the] internet or television to be bigger and better, that's wrong. What matters is you."
